buccal) using a polymerization light at a distance of max. 10 mm. In the
process, the following parameters must be observed:
Thereafter, excess cement is easy to remove with a scaler. Excess must be re-
moved rapidly in difficult-to-reach areas (proximal areas, gingival margins,
pontics). Subsequently, light-cure all the margins again for 20 seconds (approx.
1,000 mW/cm
2
, e.g. Bluephase in HIGH POWER mode or Bluephase Style).
Note
Like all composites, Multilink Automix is subject to oxygen inhibition: In other
words, the surface layer (approx. 100 µm) does not polymerize during the cur-
ing process, as it comes in contact with atmospheric oxygen. In order to avoid
this, we recommend covering the restoration margins with glycerine gel/air
block (e.g. Liquid Strip) immediately after the removal of excess. After com-
plete polymerization, the glycerine gel/air block is rinsed off with water.
8. Finishing of the restoration
–
Finish the cement joints with preparation diamonds if necessary.
–
Polish restoration margins/cement joints with suitable polishers (e.g.
Astropol
®
) as well as finishing and polishing strips.
–
Check occlusion and function and make adjustments if necessary.
Special instructions for the cementation of endodontic posts
1. For the cementation of endodontic posts, carefully clean the root canal to
remove any residue of root canal fillers. (Residue of eugenol-based seal-
ers may inhibit the polymerization of the luting composite). Ideally, the
mixed Multilink Primer A/B should be applied to the root canal and the
occlusal surface of the preparation for about 15 seconds each using the
thin (violet) microbrushes. Remove excess from the root canal using
paper points.
2. Coat the endodontic post, which has been prepared according to the
instructions of the post manufacturer, with the mixed Multilink Automix
cement.
IMPORTANT! Do not apply Multilink Automix cement with the lentulo
into a root canal that has been wetted with Primer A/B. Otherwise, pre-
mature curing might occur, which could possibly prevent the post from
being properly positioned.
3. Place the endodontic post. Excess cement will be displaced.
4. Distribute excess cement across the occlusal preparation surface for total
coverage. Then, light-cure Multilink Automix for 20 seconds.
5. Core buildup material (e.g. MultiCore
®
) can then be directly applied onto
Multilink Automix to serve as a bonding agent and cured according to
the instructions of the manufacturer (light-curing).
Warning
Unpolymerized Multilink Automix pastes and the Multilink Primer liquids may
cause slight irritation. Avoid contact with the skin, mucous membrane and
eyes. If the material comes into contact with the eyes, immediately rinse with
plenty of water and seek medical advice. If the material comes into contact
with the skin, rinse with copious amounts of water. Commercial medical
gloves do not provide protection against the sensitizing effect of methacry-
lates.
Storage
–
Multilink Automix and Multilink Primer must not be used after the expiry
date.
–
Storage temperature 2-28 °C / 36-82 °F.
–
Multilink Primer bottles must be tightly closed with the correct cap after use.
–
In order to ensure a tight seal of Multilink Automix syringes, the mixing
tip is left on the syringe after use.
–
Expiry date: See information on bottles, syringes and packaging.
Keep material out of children’s reach.

The material has been developed solely for use in dentistry. Processing should be carried out strictly accor-
ding to the Instructions for Use. Liability cannot be accepted for damages resulting from failure to observe
the Instructions or the stipulated area of application. The user is responsible for testing the material for its
suitability and use for any purpose not explicitly stated in the Instructions. Descriptions and data consti-

Beschreibung
Multilink
®
Farben
Multilink Automix ist in vier Farben unterschiedlicher Transparenz erhältlich:
–
transparent (hohe Transparenz)
–
gelb (hohe Transparenz)
–
opaque (niedrige Transparenz)
–
weiss (mittlere Transparenz)
Verarbeitungszeit
Multilink Primer A und Multilink Primer B wer-
den im Verhältnis 1:1 gemischt (z.B. 1 Tropfen Primer A + 1 Tropfen Primer B).
