Settlement for Buypass
Configuration
When settlement occurs, a report will be generated on the local log printer and stored in a disk
file. There will be a report saved for every day of the week, stored in the directory BUYREP,
in files named DAY.MON, DAY.TUE, DAY.WED, and so on.
The BUYSTL command also accepts the following arguments to perform other functions:
Settlement Report
The printed and logged settlement report will look like the following example. Depending on
the type of cards processed, there may be more or fewer columns in the report.

Argument Effect

# stands for a single digit between one and nine. It causes Buypass to send shift totals. Use this
command at the end of a shift, with the number used in the argument being the same as the number of
the shift that is ending.
mmddyy
Produces a settlement report for the specified day, where mm is the month, dd is the day, and yy the
year.
P
Requests a download of information from Buypass. Do not use this argument with the command unless
advised to do so by the Buypass customer service personnel.
-S
Performs settlement processing on the most recent Buypass settlement report. The -S argument must
be followed by either an S or D (uppercase or lowercase); S specifies the most recent End-Of-Shift
report, D specifies the most recent End-Of-Day report.

Requests a report with totals so far for the current shift.
222222
Starts a new day and produces the settlement report for the previous day.

Starts a new shift and produces the settlement report for the previous shift.
