Installation
Inlet Fittings
The Blackmer GDP is shipped without inlet fittings. Appropriate inlet fittings must be
installed on site.
Configuration Table
The following table lists three possible inlet configurations.

2 1-1/2” NPT x 1-3/4” LG. SCH. 80 NIPPLE and 1-1/2” NPT 300# Union (Gilbarco part
numbers R11493-50 and Q10846-08)
3 3-Bolt Flange with flexible connector (order Gilbarco kit number K94194)
Installing the Fittings
To install the fittings, proceed as follows:
1 Apply a pipe sealant (that is approved for use with petroleum products) to the threads.
Do not use Teflon ® tape. Teflon tape may shred off and get caught within
components.
CAUTION
2 Hand-tighten, and then wrench-tighten approximately by another 3 turns. The pump body is
aluminum.
Do not overtighten inlet fittings. The pump body is made of aluminum.
Overtightening may strip pump threads.

3 Check for leaks (refer to the section “Troubleshooting Table” on page 29 ).
