When the search results in a single route, the index will always be 1. If more than one matches, then the
searched-for route could have an index in this table between 1 and X, where Z is the number of matching
routes.
Note that the changes are made directly on the search table with no need to go to the full route table.
Deletion:
• Using the look-up as described above, the route index may be obtained and then deleted, if
desired.
