The Timers Tab allows for configuring certain timers for performance in the CMR-8500. Note that
typically increasing the Timer setting increases bandwidth efficiency and latency, while reducing the
Timer setting lowers bandwidth efficiency and latency.
The Configurable parameters for the Timers Tab are:
• Global Section Packing Timer: When section packing is enabled, this setting determines how much
time is allocated to hold MPEG2 frames to ensure filling an MPEG frame before transmitting the
frame.
