• Other Unit’s MAC address: The MAC address of the GE-2 interface on the other CMR-8500
used in this redundant pairing.
• Management Interface:
• Other Unit’s IP Address: The IP address of the Management (FE) interface on the other CMR-
8500 used in this redundant pairing.
• Other Unit’s MAC address: The MAC address of the Management (FE) interface on the other
CMR-8500 used in this redundant pairing.
• Mode: The redundant mode of this CMR-8500. Valid selections are:
• Disabled: This unit is not part of a redundant system (stand alone).
• Primary: This unit is the primary encapsulator in a redundant system.
• Back Up: This unit is the backup encapsulator in a redundant system.
Note: Do not set both units to the same mode, as unpredictable behavior may
occur.

The CMR-8500 does not currently support ASI redundancy (future feature).
