Defining the Font Tag (Optional)
The Font tag specifies the font to use for this text field.
Valid values include: Any UNICODE string containing less than 256 characters. The default is
Arial. See “
International Font Sample ” for a LNT file using an Asian font.
It contains the following attributes: pointsizeheight, pointsizewidth, italics, wordwrap,
underline, strikethrough, mpclstyle, intercharactergap, and weight.
Note: Italics is an available attribute; however, for optimal print quality select a font that is
already italicized.

pointsi zeheight The height point size of t he font. The de fault is 10.
pointsi ze width The width point size of th e font. The default is 10.
If pointsizeheight and pointsize width are not set to the same point size, the
printed characters look tall and thin or short and thick, which allo ws for great er
fle xibility in the appearan ce of the font.
Note : If you set a value for poin tsizeheight and set pointsize width to 0, the p rinted characters
will ha ve optimal aspect ratio of character height-to- width.
italics Boolean value describing if the te xt is italicized. The default is 0. Options:
0 Not Italicized
1 Italicized
wordwrap Boolean value describing if wrapping te xt is enabled. The default is 0. See
“
E xample Te xt Field with W ordwrap ” for more info r mation. Options:
0 Not enabled
1 Allows word wrap.
Note : W hen using word wrap, yo u must specify the width attribute in the tag.
Do not use word wrap wit h either the underline or t he strikethrough attributes.
underline Boolean value describing if the te xt is underlined. The default is 0. Options:
0 Not underlined
1 Underlined
Note : Do not use underline with the word wrap at tribute.
strikethrough Boolean value describing if the te xt appears wi th a line through it. The defaul t
is 0. Options:
0 No Strikethrough
1 Te xt appears with a line t hrough it
Note : Do not use strikethrough with the word wrap attribut e.
intercharactergap An integer defining the number of points between c haracters. The default is 0.
weight The weight (boldness) of the font. Options:
