11. CRANk CASE BREATHER AND PCv
iNSTALLATioN
A. Locate the pre-assembled PVC/MAF assembly
4FU139-096.
B. Locate the factory 5/8" x 90° hose end connec-
tor and the factory striaght hose connection
removed in a previous step. Connect the hose
closest to the PCV valve to the 90° fitting as
shown in picture using stepless clamps provid-
ed. Connect the straight connector to the
remaining hose using the stepless clamps pro-
vided.
C. Install the hose assembly between the driver’s
side valve cover and the intake manifold.
Secure hose connections as necessary using the
supplied hose clamps. (See Figs. 11-a, 11-b for
assistance.)
D. Locate the factory 3/8" x 90° fitting removed
from the passenger’s side valve cover in a pre-
vious step.
E. Connect the remainder of the supplied 3/8"ID
hose to the 90° fitting and connect to the pas-
senger’s side valve cover using the stepless
clamps provided. (See Fig. 11-c.)
F. Route the open end of the 3/8" hose behind the
alternator and across to where the air inlet duct
will be located.
