8. Patch the corresponding output for each Dugan-VN16 channel to a secondary

channel on the Avid live sound system.

For example, if the primary input channels are from mic inputs 1–16, the second-
ary channels may be 17–32 (see below).

9. Assign the secondary channels to a mix bus (i.e., L/R/M).

All channels in an automix group (see page 51) must go to the same mix bus(es).

10.Set the input gain and fader position of the secondary channel for unity gain.

This channel should not change the signal level from the primary channel to the
mix.

The primary channel is used for all operations (EQ, mute, and fader/VCA), while the
secondary channel is left alone.

No further configuration is required to operate the Dugan-VN16. The nominal set-
tings work fine out of the box, which comes in handy if you are pressed for time be-
fore an event. However, to take full advantage of the Dugan-VN16’s advanced
features, we recommend installing the Dugan Control Panel software.
