FOH Rack
The Dugan-VN16 card is installed in the FOH Rack I/O Expansion slot and connected
with two ribbon cables to the I/O card already installed in the rack.
This section explains how to perform each of the following tasks required to install
a Dugan-VN16 card into a FOH Rack:
• Prepare the FOH Rack
Shut down, disconnect cables, remove front and back face plates.
• Install the Dugan-VN16 Card
Install new brackets, install the Dugan-VN16 card, connect cables.
• Complete and confirm installation
Power up FOH Rack and verify installation.
To prepare the FOH for installation:
1. Shut down your sound system.
2. Disconnect all audio and power cables attached to the FOH Rack.
3. Remove the FOH Rack front panel faceplate by unscrewing its mounting screws
(#1 Phillips).

4. On the back panel of the FOH Rack, remove the I/O card expansion slot cover by
removing the four screws holding it in place. Keep the screws nearby to secure the
Dugan-VN16 card to the FOH Rack later.
NOTE: If you previously installed another output card in the expansion slot (i.e., the IOx card),
you must remove this card before you can install and use the Dugan-VN16 card.
