3. Disconnect the 50-pin ribbon cable from the port on the card by moving the tabs

on each side of the connector outward. Leave the other end of the cable connected.

4. On the back of the console, remove the four screws that secure the card to the con-

sole and gently slide the card out of the console. Set the card and the screws aside.
You will reinstall the output card after you install the Dugan-VN16 card.

To remove the slot E cover or the output card in slot E:

1. Inside the console, locate the Hub 48 card and its five I/O card ports (Figure 2-8).

Disconnect the ribbon cable connected to the back port (J1 Slot E on the Hub48
card). The other end of this cable is connected to either the slot E cover, or to an
output card (if you installed an AO16 or IO16 card). This cable will be removed
from the console entirely.
