Manufacturer scaling
The manufacturer scaling is used to define the offset (zero point compensation) and gain
(amplification) of the digital signal.
Manufacturer scaling active (default setting)
}
Default values for manufacturer scaling:
–
Offset (b
1
): 0
–
Gain (a
1
): 8194
D
(2002
H
)
INFORMATION
The default setting for gain (a
1
) means an amplification factor of 8.
The digital value after manufacturer scaling is calculated using the following for
mula:
}
y = (a
1
/ 1024
D
* x) + b

or
}
y = (a

INFORMATION
With the given amplification factor, gain (a
1
) is calculated as follows:
Gain (a
1
) = Amplification factor * 1024
D
Amplification by 5 % is therefore:
1.05 * 1024
D
= 1075
