The alarm data setup by the user is described in section 2.4 (Modsoft) and 3.4
(Concept). Alarm data for a given channel is stored in volatile memory until
power is lost. New alarm data is continuously updated in scrolling mode. In
Latched mode the first alarm data is stored until the data is read by the user.
Latched updates are not overwritten with new data until the user reads the channel
alarm data. Refer to section 4.1 for information on how to place the module in
time stamp read mode and selecting a channel group.
