+ Note: The module’s format selection must be compatible with the register format

selected in Modsoft.

❑ Input Range: Module must support current input to select voltage or

current. One of the following input ranges may be selected for each

of the four groups of eight channels:

Range:

-10 to +10 V

[default Voltage or V/I Modules]

1 to +5V

0 to +5V

0 to +10V

4 to 20mA

[default Current Modules]

0 to 20mA

❑ Differential mode: One of the following acquisition modes may be

selected for each of the four groups of eight channels. Differential

mode calculates the difference between two consecutive channel inputs

and provides the data to the register assigned for the first channel in

the pair. The second channel’s output is zero. The data acquisition

between the two channels is not synchronized so common mode noise

on the signal pair may not be fully removed, however DC offsets

should be compensated for correctly.

☞ Note: The channel pairs are not being updated simultaneously, this could lead to an error

in the actual differential value that is calculated. See figure 2.1
