+ Note: The modules format selection must be compatible with the register format
selected in Modsoft.
❑ Input Range: Module must support current input to select voltage or
current. One of the following input ranges may be selected for each
of the four groups of eight channels:
Range:
-10 to +10 V
[default Voltage or V/I Modules]
1 to +5V
0 to +5V
0 to +10V
4 to 20mA
[default Current Modules]
0 to 20mA
❑ Differential mode: One of the following acquisition modes may be
selected for each of the four groups of eight channels. Differential
mode calculates the difference between two consecutive channel inputs
and provides the data to the register assigned for the first channel in
the pair. The second channels output is zero. The data acquisition
between the two channels is not synchronized so common mode noise
on the signal pair may not be fully removed, however DC offsets
should be compensated for correctly.
☞ Note: The channel pairs are not being updated simultaneously, this could lead to an error
in the actual differential value that is calculated. See figure 2.1
