Defrosting the ice condenser
As standard, the freeze-dryer is equipped with a defrosting system. The ice
condenser chamber is supplied with heat that melts the ice off the ice
condenser.
The freeze-dryer must be in the standby mode and completely aerated.

NOTE

During the defrosting process, the chamber should not be covered in order
to prevent the deactivation of the system due to overheating.

• The defrosting time and temperature can be set in the main menu under

"Options" (see chapter 6.5.3.4 - "Options").

• Select the function "Defrosting ice condenser" under "Special functions"

in the main menu (see above).

• Start the defrosting process by way of the right function key "start".
The progress of the defrosting process will be displayed in a dialogue box.

When the specified defrosting time has elapsed, the defrosting process will
be stopped. The dialogue box disappears automatically.
