Overedge stitching
This stitch is used for finishing stretch fabric edges or
seams which need more elasticity, such as sleeves,
collar, sweatersand swimsuits.
RECOMMENDED INITIAL SETTINGS
Pattern: Overedge stitch C
Stitch width: Variable
Foot: General purpose
1. Turn the stitch length dial to the position of flexible
stitch patterns (mark
" I ” ) .
2. Place fabric underpresserfoot.
3. Adjust stitch width in a way that the right stitch is just
off of the fabric edge and the left stitch is placed on
the fabric. This procedure will allow the edge of the
fabric becovered by thethread.
4. When sewing, use flexible stitch adjustment selec
tor, turning it to the right or left in order to obtain the
visual effect desired.
