Blind hem stitching
Blind stitching is ideal for finishing hems, replacing
manual sewing.
RECOMMENDED INITIAL SETTINGS
Pattern; Blind hem stitch (letter C in the pattern
selector dial)
Needle position: Center
Stitch width: Adjustable
Stitch length: 2-3
Foot: Blind hem foot
1. Fold hem and baste 1 /4” from edge (illustration 1).
2. Fold the back of hem as shown in illustration 2.
3. Place folded hem under presser foot and adjust the
guide of the foot to the desired distance (illustra
tion 3).
4. Turn the cloth to the right side (illustration 4) and
press.
Shell stitch:
Pattern; E
Length: 4
Sew along right side of folded edge so that the needle
drops on outside right edge of fabric to form shell.
