OPERATING THE PERSONAL TRAINER COMPUTER
TKe heart oF the CROSS TRAINER e ts the advonced PERSONAL TRAINER computer. With the PERSONAL TRAINER
computer, you con change the weight setting with
a
touch of a button. As you exercise, the computer will measure your
range of motion, show the number of Colories you hove burned and keep track of the repetitions ond sets you have
completed. In the trainer mode, you can select a specific muscle group, and the computer will guide you through a
series of exercises that will develop the selected muscle group. In the program mode, the included CUSTOM SMART
CARD allow you to create custom exercise programs and store them in memory for future workouts. Preprogrammèd
SMART CARDS can also be purchased to help you achieve specific exercise goals. See the included brochure for more
informaHon. Please read these instructions carefully before operoKng the computer.
TURNING ON THE POWER
plug the tronsformer into a 120-voIt outlet.
All indicotors and displays on the computer
will flash three times.
To turn on the power, press the POWER but
ton. The four displays and various indicotors
on the computer will light. The system motor
may be heard while the weight system recoli-
brates. Note: Always turn on the power
when using the CROSS TRAINER e.
SELECnNG THE TONE OR STRENGTH MODE
The PERSONAL TRAINER computer offers
both a tone mode and a strength mode. If
your goal Is to tone your muscles and devel
op endurance, the tone mode should be
selected. If you want to increase the size and
strength of your muscles, the strength mode
should be selected. When the power Is
turned on, the tone mode will be selected
automatically. The tone indicator will light. To
select the strength mode, press the STRENGTH
button. The strength indicator will light.
USING THE MANUAL MODE
When the power is turned on, the computer
will be in the manual mode. The lower port
of the computer shows 20 exercises that can
be performed on the CROSS TRAINER e. The
indicator on exercise 1 will be floshing. Press
the right or left arrow on the NEXT button until the indicotor is flashing on the first exercise that you wont to do. The
number of the exercise that you select will be shown in the CALORIES/EXERCISE NO, display. Note: For help selecting
an exercise, refer to the muscle chart on the upper part of the computer. Press on the muscle group that you wont to
exercise—be sure to press on the circled letter. As long as you continue to press on the muscle group, indicotors wilt
light on the lower port of the computer to show you which exercise(s) will develop the selected muscle group.
