Using tl#«í 'TV's Features
Auto Tuning Feature
The way you set up the Auto Timing feature in tlie T\”s menu
corresponds to the device buttons on the remote and the way you have
each, device connected to your T\', When you set auto tuning, you’re
telling tlie IV what chan.nel or input to tune to wTen you press the
device buttons on the remote control. This is especially useful for going
directly to an input like .BDML
1. .Press MENU (the Main Menu apjaears),
2. .Highlight Channel Setup and press OK, Then highlight Advanced
Settings and press OK.
3 . Highliglit Auto Tuning and press OK.
4. Ihgliliglit the device button field and. continually press OK to scroll
throLigh the selection of injauts.
The choices and a brief explanation follow:
Not Connected Choose this if you don’t have this particular device connected, to the dV, or if
you don’t want the IV to automatically tune to the correct chan.n.el when, you press one of the
device buttons on the .iremote,
Channel 2, 3 or 4 Device is connected to the ANTENNA/CABLE /VP67’jax:k on the back of the
W, and you watnt the IV to tune to channel 2, 3, or 4 when you press the corresponding button
on the remote. Reminder; make sure the device’s (Channel 2/3 or 3/4 switch is .set to match the
channel you choose in Auto Tuning.
Input 1, Input 3 Conijaatible video source, such as a DVD player or satellite receiver, is
connected to the Input 1 or 3 COMPONEN17COMPOSJTEINIdJTpcks (TWideo, Pb, Pr) on the
back of the IV and you want the IV to tune to the compo.site/component video injaut when you
pre.ss the corresponding button.
Input 2, Input 4 Device is connected to the Input 2 Video (V’) or SA'IDEO jack on the
back of the IV and you want the IV to tune to the Video Input Channel when V'ou jaress the
correspond ing button.
Front Input Device is c:onnected to the VIDEO IN g\ck. on the h:ont of the TV' and you want the
W to tune to the front Video Input Channel when you press the corresponding button.
HDMI1, HDMI2 Devdce is connected to an HDMl jack on the back of the TV and you want the
T\' to tune to this input w'hen you pre.ss the corresponding button,
Future Downloadable Ratings
Your dV is equipped to support a downloadable rating system. It is similar to the current rating
system your W has, called V-Chi[a. If a new rating sy'stem becomes available, the W downloads it
automatically from the signal and there is nothing you .need to do to receive the information. Once
it’s dow.nloaded, a new option ajapears in your Parental Control menu. This option a.nd its na.me
are dependent on the content accjuired from the broadca.ster.
Note: Ihese ratings are available only if the broadcaster is sending them.
