Operation to reset
The microcomputer may fall into malfunction (impossibility to operate
erroneous display, etc.) when the power cord is unplugged while
power is ON or due to an external factor. In this case, execute the
following procedure to reset the microcomputer and return it to normal
condition.
Amplifier unit : Unplug the power cord from the power socket
and, while holding the POWER key, plug the power
cord into the socket again.
Tuner unit : Unplug the power cord from the power socket
and, while holding the AUTO key, plug the power
cord into the socket again.
• Please note that resetting the microcomputer clears the contents
stored in it returns it to the condition when it left the factory.

• The speaker cords, are disconnected.
• The volume control is set to the minimum position.
• The MUTE switch of remote control unit is
switched ON.
• The headphone plug is inserted into the jack.

phones
• The headphone plug is not inserted fully.
• Insert it into the plug.
Sound is not produced from the left or
right speakers.
• The speaker cords are disconnected.
• The BALANCE is set completely to the ieft or
right channel.
• Connect properly referring to "System con
nections".
• Adjust the optimum left and right balance.
Sound is not produced from the sur
round (rear) speakers or center speaker
or their volume is very low.
•The rear or center speaker cords are discon
nected.
•The surround play mode is not activated.
• The rear level or center level is set to the mini
mum volume.
• Connect properly referring to "System con
nections".
• Activate a surround mode.
• Adjust the rear level or center level. —[iSj

be received by pressing the P.CALL key.
•The frequency of the preset station is not tunable.
•The preset memory has been cleared because the
power cord has been unplugged for a long period.
• Preset stations with tunable frequencies.
