Adjustment and playback of DOLBY 3 STEREO

The Dolby 3 STEREO provides an active center channel to
produce a better, stable center image. This mode can be
used when listening to stereo video program and music or
when surround listening or surround system set-up is not
possible.
Set the Dolby 3 STEREO mode.

Adjust the volume balance.
Each press changes the center modes as follows.
NDRnHL : When the center speaker is compact-sized.
'— WJi/E IflNH ; When the center speaker is medium-or large-sized.
• If you cannot tell whether your center speaker is of the compact or
medium size, try both modes and use the one that you like.
• Once the center mode is selected, it is automatically held in memory and
will not change until It is set again.
• Noise-like test tone moves across the speakers every 1.5 second.

• Be sure to adjust from the listening position.
• When one of the CENTER LEVEL keys is pressed, the current volume
level is displayed. While the level is displayed, it can be adjusted in 1 dB
steps every time one of the keys is pressed.
• The volume level can be adjusted in the range from -10 to +10 dB,
• The center level is stored in memory as the common setting with the
DOLBY PRO LOGIC SURROUND mode.
