Using the Action Menu

Function: Expands an expression.
Syntax: expand (Exp/Eq/Ineq/List/Mat [ ) ]
• Ineq (inequality) includes the “ ” (not equal to) relational operator.
Example: To expand ( x + 2) 2

Function: Factors an expression.
Syntax: factor (Exp/Eq/Ineq/List /Mat [ ) ]
• Ineq (inequality) includes the “ ” (not equal to) relational operator.
Example: To factor x 2 Ҁ 4 x + 4

Function: Factors an expression up to its roots, if any.
Syntax: rFactor (Exp/Eq/Ineq/List/Mat [ ) ]
