Data Interfaces
4.1 Data Interfaces Overview
A variety of interfaces is available for the 2240 Modem:
Each interface conforms to existing standards. For applicable standards and physical connector
types, See Chapter 7, "Specifications". Refer to section 7.5 for a list of available interface
options.
In general, all interface modules are configured as Data Communications Equipment (DCE). All
devices supports a variety of control leads and auxiliary channels. The 2240 provides these
signals as end-to-end paths. See each respective section for a general description of interface
features. Figure 4-1 shows the interchangeability of interfaces.
