Shooting with
backlighting
when you shoot a subject with the light source
behind the subject or a subject with a light
background, use the BACK LIGHT function.
Press BACK LIGHT. The El indicator appears on
the LCD or in the viewfinder.

[a] Subject is too dark because of backlight.
[b] Subject becomes bright with backlight
compensation.
After shooting
Be sure to release this adjustment condition by
pressing BACK LIGHT again. The El indicator
disappears. Otherwise, the picture will be too
bright under normal lighting condition.
This function is also effective under the
following conditions:
• A subject with a light source nearby or a mirror
reflecting light
• A white subject against a white background.
Especially when you shoot a person wearing
shiny clothes made of silk or synthetic fibre, his
or her face tends to become dark if you do not
use this function.
Note on the BACK LIGHT function
When you press EXPOSURE, the BACK LIGHT
function is cancelled.
[a] El sujeto presenta demasiada oscuridad
debido a la luz de fondo.
[b] El brillo del sujeto aumenta con la
compensación de luz de fondo.
Después de la filmación
Asegúrese de cancelar esta condición de ajuste;
para ello, vuelva a pulsar BACK LIGHT. El

Esta función también resulta efectiva en las
siguientes condiciones:

un espejo que refleje la luz
• Sujeto blanco con un fondo blanco.
Especialmente cuando filme una persona
vestida con prendas brillantes hechas con seda
o fibras sintéticas, la cara tenderá a oscurecerse
si no utiliza esta función.
Nota sobre la función BACK LIGHT
Al pulsar EXPOSURE, la función BACK LIGHT
se cancela.
