Specifying Use of Oximetry Sites
If use of oximetry sites is enabled, the instrument prompts the user to specify whether an
oximetry site code and subsite code are to be entered whenever a specimen is run.
If
is selected, the operator must then enter the numerical code for the main oximetry site
from a list displayed on the screen.
If
is selected, the result will display in the usual manner.
Note:
If the Patient ID is also entered when testing, the ITC AVOXimeter 1000E can calculate
Saturation Step-Ups for a patient using the average oxyhemoglobin saturation (%Hb0

)
values that were obtained at each site during the catheterization.

Display the “Data Management” menu (a submenu of
, see page 8).

to display the oximetry screen:

. A confirmation prompt is displayed and the
instrument will prompt the user if they would like to turn on oximetry subsites as
well. Press
to turn them on or
to leave them turned off. The “Data
Management” menu is again displayed.

to return to the previous menu, if desired.

When use of oximetry sites is enabled, the instrument prompts for entry of the
oximetry site code and subsite code during the test procedure (page 29).
