Motor Power Cable Shield Terminations
The motor power cable shield must terminate at the drive and where
the cable enters the cabinet to meet CE requirements.
A portion of the cable jacket must be removed at the drive end to
expose the shield braid and leave an appropriate length for each
conductor. The shield must be positioned under the clamp as shown
in the figure below.
Another portion of the cable jacket is removed where the cable enters
the enclosure and a 360° conduit clamp applied (as shown in the
figure below).

If cabinet is painted, remove paint (refer to Figure 1.4 in Chapter 1 for an example).
ATTENTION
!
To avoid hazard of electrical shock, ensure shielded
power cables are grounded at a minimum of one
point for safety.
