PROFINET data bytes (data blocks for unsafe func-

tions)

The following modules can be present in various combinations in an MGB system:

ÌBus module, MGB-B-...PN (contains everything required for the PROFINET con-

nection)

ÌEvaluation module, MGB-L. (forms the door locking mechanism together with

the handle module)

ÌControl module, MGB-C. (includes various controls/indicators)

Each MGB module occupies a certain number of PROFINET data bytes in the input

and output range of the control system.
The PROFINET data bytes for every MGB module or also individual functions are

combined in data blocks (see tables below).
A distinction is made between the following data block types:

ÌData blocks for MGB modules
ÌData blocks for individual functions

These data blocks are automatically assigned to the designated slots in the con-

figuration software of the control system when your MGB system is placed. This

assignment changes according to MGB system. The exact assignment of the slots

and the exact bit allocation for your device can be seen in the data sheet. The data

sheet is included with every MGB system.
