13. Operator's Troubleshooting
■ Troubleshooting
All of the actions described in this chapter may
be performed by an AB46J operator, a trained
and qualified service technician is not required.
The first column, of the following chart, lists some
common problems encountered by AB46J
operators.
The second column lists some of the causes for
each problem. The third column lists remedies.
Any problem that cannot be fixed by actions
listed below should be referred to a trained
and qualified AB46J service technician.

Remedy
AB46J will not work from
the ground control box.
1. Switches are set
wrong.
A. Set Battery switch to ON.
At the ground control box:
B. Set the Master Key Switch to ON.
C. Pull Emergency Stop switch (out) ON.
D. Set Platform/Ground Selector switch to
GROUND.
2. The main circuit
breaker, in the ground
control box, has
tripped.
Wait three minutes, the circuit breaker
should automatically reset in that time,
then try to use the AB46J. If it sill will not
work, refer the problem to a qualified
service technician.
3. Battery charger
plugged in.
Unplug the battery charger.
4. Batteries discharged.
Recharge the batteries.
AB46J will not work from
the platform control box.

A. Set Battery switch to ON.
At the ground control box:
B. Set the Master Key Switch to ON.
C. Pull Emergency Stop switch (out) ON.
D. Set Platform/Ground Selector switch to
PLATFORM.
At the platform control box:
E. Pull the Emergency Stop button up.
2. The main circuit
breaker, in the platform
control box, and/or the
main system circuit
breaker in the ground
control box has tripped.
Wait three minutes, the circuit breaker
should automatically reset in that time,
then try to use the AB46J. If it sill will not
work, refer the problem to a qualified
service technician.
3. Battery charger
plugged in.
Unplug the battery charger.
4. Batteries discharged.
Recharge the batteries.
