2. Set the Emergency Stop switch (2) to ON
(pulled out).
3. Set the Platform/Ground Selector switch
(3) to platform (up).
4. Insert the key (4) and set the Master Key
Switch (5) to ON.
5. Enter the platform, close the platform gravity
gate (6).
6. Attach the lanyard of your fall restraint to one
of the anchor points (7).
7. Pull the Emergency Stop switch (8) up
(ON).
The Emergency Stop switch MUST be on
(pulled up) for the platform control box
Electronic Display to show messages.
After initial system diagnostics check, the
system will display a message that the
system is "OK!." Depress platform foot
switch to test battery.
Drive System is operable, only after the
"NEUTRAL VEL = 0.0 MPH" message is
displayed provided batteries have
sufficient charge for operation.
8. Set the Drive Range (9) to SLOW (turtle).
9. Set Boom Speed (10) as shown.
The AB46J is ready to begin work.
■ Moving The Platform
The AB46J should already be turned on (as
described earlier in this chapter) before you start
this section.
DO NOT operate near energized electrical
conductors. Maintain the (M.S.A.D.), Minimum
Safe Approach Distance to energized power
lines. See the "Electrical Hazard" section, in
this manual for a complete explanation of the
hazards concerning electricity.
Be certain that the space into which you are
about to move the platform, boom, turntable,
and/or chassis is free of obstructions.
ALWAYS look in the direction of movement.
