Add the current RDS-TMC station in the
preset list. If there are already five stations
stored in the list, select one to be overwritten.

If you want to continue to search for
another station, repeat this procedure.

Touch “OK”.
Returns to the Information menu.

Selecting from pre-registered RDS-

TMC stations

You can pre-select up to five RDS-TMC stations
(Preset Station). From the list of the RDS-TMC
stations, you can select the one you want to
receive.

Touch “Information” in the Main menu,
then touch “Manual Station Search”.
The list of registered RDS-TMC stations
appears. This list of broadcasting stations
(Preset Station) cannot be used unless those
broadcasting stations have been stored.

Select a radio station from the list.

Switching to the specified RDS-TMC station.

Using a PC Card

You can store the following information on a PC
Card (sold separately):
• Locations registered manually such as your

home, your favourite location, or a location
whose information was edited (Registered
Locations)

• Information on when you travelled, on where

you have come from and gone to, and the
distance from starting point to destination
(Driving Log History)

• Background image when navigation or audio is

operated (Background Picture)

The PC card is very useful for sharing the data
in the Address Book with friends or for
storing the data as backup.

If a PC card is not inserted in the navigation
system correctly, PC card functions are not
available.

For details of PC cards that support this
system, refer to the following.

– If you are using “AVIC-9DVD” or “AVIC-

8DVD”, refer to the “Operation Manual”.

– If you are using models other than the

above, refer to the “Hardware Manual”.

Initialising a PC card

Before using a brand new PC card, you must
initialise it.

Touch “Information” in the Main menu,
then touch “PC card” and “Initialise PC
Card”.

Do not cut off the power supply for the
navigation system (or turn the ignition
switch to ACC OFF) until initialisation of
the PC card is complete.

Touch “Yes”.
If you want to cancel the initialisation, touch
“No”.
