9.2 Initializing the printer driver
When you have installed the printer driver, you need to change the initialization condition such as options
before daily printing and enable functions of this machine from the printer driver.

Reminder
If the model name and installed options are not specified on the Printer Info dialog box, the option
functions cannot be used from the printer driver. When installing options, be sure to make the proper
settings.
9.2.1 Options

Open the Print & Fax (or Printer Setup Utility/Print Center) window.
– Open the Print & Fax window from "System Preferences" in the "Apple Menu" (OS X
10.4/10.5/10.6).
– Open the Printer Setup Utility/Print Center window from "Applications" - "Utilities" of "Hard Disk".

Display the Printer Info dialog box.
– For the Print & Fax window, click [Options & Supplies] (OS X 10.5/10.6) or [Printer Setup] (OS X 10.4).
– For the Printer Setup Utility/Print Center window, from the [Printer] menu, select "Show Info".

Display "Installable Options".
– For OS X 10.2/10.3/10.4, select [Installable Options].
– For OS X 10.5/10.6, click "Driver".

Select the options that are installed on this machine.

Click the [OK] button or the [Apply Changes] button, and then close the "Printer Info" dialog box.
