Layout
The Layout panel allows you to define how document pages are mapped on
printed sheets and to select finishing options.
The selections for stapling, punching, and folding will only be available if the
corresponding installable options are activated, see section “Installable Options”.
You can set the following attributes:
1. Layout (imposition) – defines how document pages are mapped on
printed sheets.
• Off – one document page is one printed sheet.
• Adhesive Binding – document pages are arranged on the
sheets to produce center folded booklets sets of 4 pages each.
I.e. pages 1-4 are printed on sheet 1, pages 5-8 on sheet 2.
After folding, the sheets can be put side by side and glued to
form a booklet. Document pages are printed in original size.
The sheet size is twice the document page size.
• Booklet – document pages are arranged on the sheets to
produce a center folded and saddle stitched booklet. Document
pages are printed in original size. The sheet size is twice the
document page size.
Normally booklet is combined with half folding and center
stapling. This implies that the paper in the tray must be short
edge fed. Long edge fed paper will not work.
