Install Bottom Diffuser & Lower Assembly (Figures 4, 5 & 6)

1. Tilt and lift shade up over socket and large washer.
Note: It may be helpful to secure shade to canopy pipe (J) to
simplify the next assembly steps.
2. Remove ¼-20 nuts (K) and spider (L) from the lower
assembly (N) and set aside.
3. Align holes in diffuser (M) with the three studs on the lower
assembly (N). Lower diffuser until it sits on the washer of the
lower assembly (N) (Figure 5).
4. Replace Spider (L) and ¼-20 nuts (K) and tighten.
5. Remove cap (P) and lock washer (Q) from threaded nipple
(O) and set aside.
6. Feed lock washer (Q) over threaded nipple (O) followed by
lower assembly (N) (Figure 6).
7. While holding lower assembly (N) over the threaded nipple
(O), twist cap (P) onto the nipple and tighten.
Note: Cap (P) must be snug against lower assembly (N) to prevent
lower assembly from tipping. O
