Before Using the Firmware Upgrade Tool
Confirm you meet all of the following requirements:
Ⅲ A desktop/laptop computer running:
● Microsoft Windows 2000 with Service Pack 4
● Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2
(Home or Professional)
● Windows Vista (Home, Premium, Business, or
Ultimate)
● Windows 7
Ⅲ 200MB open hard disk space on the computer.
Ⅲ All Firewall & Anti-Virus Programs should be
temporarily disabled until the update process is
completed.
Ⅲ Administrative privileges are required to
download & install software.
Ⅲ Available USB Port on the connected computer.
Ⅲ Direct connection of the USB cable to the
computer's USB port is strongly advised. The use
of a USB hub or docking station is NOT
recommended.
Ⅲ Make sure your device is fully charged
Ⅲ Use the approved USB data cable. (Included in
the retail box - P/N: APCBU10BBE.)
Important: Any previous version of the Samsung Drivers
must first be uninstalled, prior to installing the new
M900 Software Update tool.
Note: Before initiating this update, it is recommended that you
backup your information.
WARNING: You will be unable to use the Moment during
the upgrade process. This upgrade is only
intended for use on the Sprint SPH-M900
handset. It is incompatible with all other device
models.
