Configuring Global Data Roaming Access
Accessing the mobile data network while traveling outside
the USA may result in significant charges. Use the Global
Data Roaming Access to control your device’s connection to
the network.
Important!: Depending on your service plan, changes you
make to Mobile networks settings may incur extra
charges. Consult Verizon Wireless for more
information.
1. From the Home screen, touch Apps ➔
Settings ➔ Wireless and networks ➔ Mobile
networks.
2. Touch Global Data Roaming Access to configure options:
• Allow access for all trips
• Allow access only for this trip
• Deny data roaming access
System selection
Configure how your device connects to the network when
moving in or out of your provider’s home network.
1. From the Home screen, touch Apps ➔
Settings ➔ Wireless and networks ➔ Mobile
networks.
2. Touch System selection to select the roaming mode for
CDMA networks:
• LTE automatic: Allow your device to automatically access the
4G LTE mobile data network when it is available.
• CDMA mode: Choose Home only to restrict your device to your
provider’s network, or choose Automatic to allow roaming.
