USB Interface
Using the PC Camera Function
✤ To use the PC Camera function, the DV Driver, Video Codec and
DirectX 9.0. programs must be installed in the PC.
✤ You can use this Camcorder as a PC Camera. This is useful when
connecting to a Web site that provides video chatting functions.
✤ When using this camcorder for video conferencing (such as
NetMeeting), voice communication may not be supported
depending on the video conferencing software. In this case,
connect an external microphone to the soundcard of the PC to
enable voice communication.
✤ You can participate in video conferencing by using the Camcorder
with PC Net-meeting program installed.
✤ The PC CAMERA's screen size (Transferred video frame rate for
the PC Camera function is max 15 fps.)
■ 320X240 (QVGA) pixels for USB 1.1 connection.
✤ If PC is connected with the USB to the Camcorder, only the Power
switch and Zoom switch operate.
1. Set the Power switch to REC.
2. Connect one end of the USB cable to the USB jack
on the Camcorder and the other end to the USB
connector on your computer.

✤ Para utilizar la función PC Camera (Cámara de PC), deben instalarse
en el PC los programas DV Driver, Video Codec y DirectX 9.0.
✤ Esta videocámara se puede usar como una cámara para PC.
Esto resulta de utilidad al conectar a un sitio Web que proporcione
funciones de chat con vídeo.
✤ Al utilizar esta videocámara para videoconferencia (como
NetMeeting), es posible que no se admita la comunicación de voz
dependiendo del software de videoconferencia. En este caso,
conecte un micrófono externo a la tarjeta de sonido del PC para
activar la comunicación por voz.
✤ Puede participar en videoconferencias utilizando la videocámara
con el programa PC Net-meeting instalado.
✤ El tamaño de la pantalla de PC CAMERA (La velocidad de
fotogramas del vídeo transferido para la función PC Camera es de
15 fps.)
■ 320X240 (QVGA) píxeles para conexión USB 1.1.
✤ Si el PC está conectado con USB a la videocámara, sólo está
operativo el interruptor de Power y Zoom.
1. Coloque el interruptor Power en REC.
2. Conecte un extremo del cable USB al conector
USB de la videocámara y el otro al conector USB
del PC.
