Formatting a Memory Card
✤ You can use the Format function to completely
delete all still images/moving images and options
on the Memory Card, including protected still images/
moving images.
✤ The format function restores the Memory Card to its
initial state.
✤ The Memory Stick supplied with this Camcorder has
been formatted already.
1.Set the Power switch to (CAMERA).
2.Press the MENU button.
3.Move the Joystick to the left or right to select
(SETUP).
■ The SETUP menu list will appear.
4.Move the Joystick up or down to select FORMAT,
then move the Joystick to the right.
■ The available options are listed. YES - NO.
5.Select the desired option by moving the Joystick
up or down button, then press the Joystick(OK).
■ If YES is selected, message FORMAT? appears.
6.If OK is selected, message PLEASE WAIT appears
and then FORMAT DONE appears when the format is
completed.
[ Notes ]
■ If you execute the Format function, all still
images/moving images will be erased completely and
erased still images/moving images cannot be recovered.
■ Formatting the Memory Card using a different device will
cause Memory Card read errors.
■ Formatting the Memory Card deletes all the stored data
in the Memory Card.
■ Do not turn the power off while formatting.

✤ Puede utilizar la función Format (Formato) para suprimir
completamente todas las fotografías o secuencias de
video y las opciones de la tarjeta de memoria, incluidas
las fotografías y secuencias protegidas.
✤ La función de formato devuelve la tarjeta de memoria
a su estado inicial.
✤ La tarjeta de memoria que se suministra junto con la

1.Coloque el interruptor Power en (CÁMARA).
2.Pulse el botón MENU.
3.Mueva el Joystick a la derecha o a la izquierda hasta
seleccionar (SETUP (CONFIGURACIÓN)).
■ Aparece el menú SETUP (CONFIGURACIÓN).
4.Mueva el Joystick hacia arriba o hacia abajo hasta
seleccionar FORMAT (FORMATO) y mueva el
Joystick a la derecha.
■ Aparece una lista con las opciones disponibles.
YES (SÍ) - NO.
5.Seleccione la opción que desee moviendo el Joystick
hacia arriba o hacia abajo y pulse el Joystick(OK).
■ Si se selecciona YES (SÍ), aparece el mensaje
FORMAT? (FORMATO?).
6.Si se selecciona OK, aparece el mensaje PLEASE WAIT
(ESPERE) y aparece FORMAT DONE (FORMATO
FINALIZADO) una vez completado el formato.
[Notas]
■ Si ejecuta la función Format (Formato), se borrarán todas
las imágenes fijas y secuencias y no podrá recuperarlas.
■ Dar formato a la tarjeta de memoria utilizando un
dispositivo diferente puede causar errores de lectura
en la tarjeta de memoria.
■ El formato de la tarjeta de memoria borra todos los
datos almacenados en la tarjeta de memoria.
■ No apague la unidad mientras se da formato.
