Setting the Focus
✤ In (CAMERA) mode, the automatic focus will not engage unless the
PHOTO button is pressed halfway down.
✤ To get good image quality, please verify the proper focus before fully
pressing the PHOTO button.
✤ While the camera is focusing (when pressing the PHOTO button halfway
down), a flashing red icon ( ●) will appear on the LCD screen. Once the
focus is set properly, a green icon ( ●) will appear.
✤ A beep sound will be heard once the focus is set.
1. Frame your subject inside the AF focus area on the
LCD screen in order to obtain clear focus.
2. Press the PHOTO button halfway down to adjust the focus.
■ When the focus is set, a beep sound will be heard.
■ You can maintain focus by continuing to press the
PHOTO button halfway down in order to change your
framing. This is useful when your main subject is not
located in the center area of your frame.
3. Press the PHOTO button firmly to take the image.
[ Notes ]
■ If the focus is not properly set, release the PHOTO button
and then press the PHOTO button halfway down again.
■ The flashing red icon ( ●) will appear when the focus cannot be
set. If this occurs, release the PHOTO button and try again.
■ Use Macro mode for recording images at closer range,
or proper focusing will not occur (see page 112).
✤ Vibration Warning ( ) icon and Low Light indicator will
appear when you set the flash mode to Slow Sync ( )
or Flash Cancel ( ) in dark lighting conditions,
and the PHOTO button is pressed halfway down.
✤ Use a tripod or allow the built-in flash to fire to obtain a clear
image when the Vibration Warning ( ) icon appears.
✤ To change your flash mode, refer to the next page.
Ajuste del enfoque
✤ En la modalidad (CÁMARA), el enfoque automático no se activará a
menos que se pulse el botón PHOTO a mitad de camino.
✤ Para obtener una buena calidad de imagen, verifique que el enfoque sea
correcto antes de pulsar totalmente el botón PHOTO.
✤ Cuando la cámara está enfocando (al pulsar el botón PHOTO a mitad de
camino), aparecerá un icono rojo parpadeante ( ●) en la pantalla OSD. Una
vez ajustado correctamente el enfoque, aparecerá un indicador verde ( ●).
✤ Se oirá un pitido una vez que se ajusta el enfoque.
1. Encuadre el sujeto dentro del área de enfoque AF de la
pantalla LCD para obtener el enfoque claro.
2. Pulse el botón PHOTO a mitad de camino para ajustar el
enfoque.
■ Cuando se ajuste el enfoque, se oirá un pitido.
■ Puede mantener el enfoque si continua pulsando el
botón PHOTO a mitad de camino para cambiar su
encuadre. Esto resulta útil cuando el sujeto principal
no se encuentra en el área central de la secuencia.
3. Pulse firmemente el botón PHOTO para tomar la imagen.

■ Si no se ajusta correctamente el enfoque, suelte el botón
PHOTO y púlselo a medio camino de nuevo.
■ Aparecerá un icono rojo parpadeante ( ●) cuando no
pueda ajustarse el enfoque. Si esto ocurre, suelte el
botón PHOTO e inténtelo de nuevo.
■ Utilice la modalidad Macro para grabar imágenes a una
distancia más corta o no se producirá un enfoque
correcto (consulte la página 112).
Aviso de vibración
✤ Aparecerá el icono de aviso de vibración ( ) y el
indicador de luz escasa al fijar la modalidad de flash en
Sincr. lenta (
) o Cancelar Flash ( ) en condiciones
de poca luz, y se pulsa el botón PHOTO a medio camino.
✤ Utilice un trípode o deje que el flash incorporado dispare para obtener una
imagen clara cuando aparece el indicador de Aviso de vibración ( ).
