Installing a PCI expansion card
IMPORTANT Some cards may need to be installed by an Apple-authorized
service provider. Check the information that came with the card.
Follow these steps to install an expansion card.
1 Carefully follow the instructions provided earlier in this chapter for opening the
server safely.
Remember to wear a grounded wriststrap while installing an expansion card.
2 Touch the metal part of the power supply case inside the server to discharge
static electricity.
Always do this before you touch any parts or install components inside
the server.
