To define or operate the Cnt Ac-S Z pairs in the consistency groups, install the Continuous Access
Synchronous operations can be performed on pairs inZ software. A Continuous Access Synchronous
consistency group and a maximum of 128Continuous Access Synchronous Open/MF consistency
groups ongroup described in the primary system.HP P9000 Continuous Access Synchronous for
Mainframe Systems User Guide are the same. For further information on a Continuous Access
Synchronous Open/MF consistency group, see the HP P9000 Continuous Access Synchronous for
Mainframe Systems User Guide.

You must use the same consistency group number when Cnt Ac-S pairs and Cnt Ac-S Z pairs are
registered in the same Continuous Access Synchronous consistency group. Therefore, you must
decide beforehand the consistency group number by both RAID Manager (RM) and Business
Continuity Manager. Specify the unused consistency group number. Before you start the operation,
define the pair specifying the consistency group number with RAID Manager (RM) and Copy Group
Attributes (TC) window of Business Continuity Manager. For further information about the Copy
