Migrating data for volume performance
You can migrate data based on the results of monitoring volume performance.
Prerequisites
Tasks that must be completed beforehand:
•
Register the Tiered Storage Manager license.
•
Set up an external connection to a HP P9500, XP24000/XP20000, XP12000 Disk Array.
•
Create a tier in which the target mainframe volumes are grouped (only when migrating mainframe
volumes).
Information that should be obtained beforehand:
•
Migration source host, logical group, tier, or storage system.
•
Migration target THP/Smart pools, tier or migration target volumes.
