About ProCurve Identity Driven Manager
Introduction
What’s New in IDM 2.2
ProCurve Identity Driven Manager version 2.2 includes the following new
features and enhancements:
■
Support for the ProCurve Network Access Controller 800:
When a ProCurve NAC 800 is discovered a new device group is added
under "Interconnect Devices" called "ProCurve Network Access Control-
lers". Beneath the "ProCurve Network Access Controllers" group will be
each individual ProCure NAC appliance. A node for the ProCurve Net-
work Access Controller is also added under the Realms in IDM.
The ProCurve Network Access Controller node in the IDM tree provides
the same functionality as for other RADIUS servers, plus a tab containing
an embedded Web browser to launch the ProCurve NAC user interface
for accessing the network access controller’s configuration features. The
ProCurve NAC device group tab display in PCM contains the same device
information tabs as the standard Interconnect Device tabs (described in
the ProCurve Manager Network Administrator’s Guide).
■
For a more robust Endpoint Integrity solution, IDM has added two
more states: "Infected", and "Unknown".
■
Enhanced Wireless Support:
•
The IDM preferences screen has been updated to allow you to enable
or disable advanced wireless support in IDM.
•
You can now specify a WLAN as an input to global rules and access
policy rules. If ProCurve Mobility Manager (PMM) is licensed, the
WLAN drop down list will automatically be updated with the complete
list of WLANs PMM has discovered. If PMM is not licensed, you can
type in the WLAN you want to use. All WLANs entered will be saved
so that they can be re-used without having to re-enter the WLAN
information.
•
Ability to specify ProCurve wireless Access Points and Radios for
Locations in IDM. If PMM is licensed, a Wireless devices tab is
available for Locations configuration. The wireless configuration
information collected by PMM is used to provide a list of the MAC
addresses (BSSIDs) for wireless devices to use when defining a
location.
•
The Session History and User Session History reports have been
augmented to allow you to include WLAN and BSSID data as columns
in the report
