Front Panel
Figure 1-5 shows the front panel of the Express L768. The indicators
are divided into LAN functions, WAN functions, and Test functions.

Indicators
Rear Panel
The Express L768 has one RJ-45 jack, labeled HDSL, on the rear panel
for network connection (see Figure 1-6). There are two sets of switches
on the back panel. The TO HUB/TO NIC switch allows the Express
L768 to connect directly to a Network Interface Card (NIC) or a HUB
without the need for special cabling.
TX/RX
Flashes when transmitting and receiving
data on the 10BaseT connector.
LI
Link integrity. Illuminates when there is a
good connection between the Express
L768 and the Hub/NIC card.
LOOP
Flashes when the SDSL link (pins 4 and 5
on RJ-45) is not in sync. Solid when in
sync.
LINK
Illuminates solid when either PPP or Frame
Relay has an active connection. Flashes
when trying to establish a PPP or Frame
Relay connection.
