Overview

The AM-TBR process turbidimeter allows for the measurement of the turbidity of process water
on-line. The white light AM-TBR has been designed to meet the design criteria specified by the
US EPA 180.1 on turbidity measurement. The infrared AM-TBR was designed to meet the
design criteria specified in ISO 7027 and DIN 27027 for the measurement of the turbidity of a
sample. All models have long life lamps.

Some models have ultrasonic cleaning. Refer to 8.2 for more information.

A pressure regulator on the incoming line is standard on all AM-TBR models and will

reduce pressures up to 1380kPa (200 PSI) down to (104kPa) 15 PSI.

1.1. The AM-TBR Series

The AM-TBR series instruments have two light source options available, and two range options
available. The only other options are the built-in ultrasonic cleaning, and the flow alarm relay.
All units have user selectable 4-20 mA or Modbus over RS-485 outputs. Refer to the table below
to determine which factory installed options are available. Add the postfix –A to the model
number for the alarm option.
