Aquametrix 2200R ORP Analyzer/Controller Datasheet User Manual
Aquametrix, Aquametrix model 2200r orp anayzer / controller, Description features applications
Model 2200R ORP analyzer/controller is a de-
pendable industrial grade instrument designed for
controlling rising and falling ORP in the most de-
manding environments.
Extremely easy to operate with a large bright LED
display and intuitive user interface, this micropro-
cessor-based analyzer/controller is packaged in a
NEMA 4X fiberglass reinforced polyester enclo-
sure and used in a wide variety of industrial and
municipal applications.
Frequently used functions are accessed through
an intuitive step-through menu printed directly on
the front panel for ease of navigation. Pressing the
MENU key scrolls through the menu, illuminating a
small LED beside the selected item and displaying
the stored value. Arrow keys are used to change
the value. Seldom used adjustments such as pass-
word activation are set using DIP switches on the
back of the swing-out front panel.
INPUTS
The 2200P accepts two types of ORP probes, the
AquaMetrix P60 Series Differential (three elec-
trode) pH probe and conventional combination
ORP probes.
With an integral pre-amplifier, replaceable salt
bridge cartridge and differential pH measurement
design R60 series differential probes offer a num-
ber of advantages over conventional combination
probes. These advantages include increased dis-
tance from probe to controller (3,000 feet versus 25
feet for a standard combination probe), increased
accuracy, reduced ground-loop interference, and
extended service life.
CALIBRATION
Calibration is fast and easy. Press the MENU key
until the CALIBRATION LED illuminates. Place the
probe in a buffer solution. Use the arrow keys to
set the value. Press ENTER twice. Repeat the pro-
cess for the second buffer solution. The 2200P is
now calibrated.
OUTPUTS
Model 2200R provides three analog outputs, 4-20
mA, 0-5 Vdc and 0-1 mA.
The instrument also provides control of external
devices using two independent control relays.
Factory set for bidirectional control, both control
relays can be field-set to control rising or falling
processes, with easily programmed setpoints for
Relay On and Relay Off.
Each control relay has an independent cycle timer,
with easy to adjust Cycle On and Cycle Off times.
This feature enables a tighter control of batch pro-
cesses by eliminating chemical overshoot.
Control Relay A has a manual override which
places the relay in the AUTO, OFF, or ON mode.
This feature enables the operator to override the
controller from the front panel, turning the relay
on and off. This is a useful feature when servicing
auxiliary devices.
An alarm relay has both high and low setpoints
with a fixed deadband. When any relay is ener-
gized, a corresponding LED on the front panel is
illuminated, clearly indicating alarm conditions and
if auxilliary devices are energized.
DIAGNOSTICS
A self-diagnostics program clearly indicates any
system errors or faults by turning the STATUS LED
on the front panel from green to red. The operator
then scrolls through the menu to STATUS to de-
termine the fault code. The Manual indicates the
source and likely remedy for the fault. When the
status fault is corrected the STATUS LED will turn
back to green.
ENCLOSURE
Model 2200D is packaged in a rugged NEMA 4X
fiberglass reinforced polyester enclosure. It is ide-
ally suited for heavy-duty outdoor applications
such as municipal and industrial wastewater ap-
plications.
