A kit (Kit # 02972094) to replace

the O-Ring and Back-up Rings which
are located between the valve block and
the motor housing on the piston motors
# 02977193 used on the Brahma rotary
and Machete boom mounted cutters is
available. The Valve block must be re-
moved when the motor is replaced as it
is attached to the support plate. This
causes an occasional failure of the seals.

Install O-Rings and Back-up

Rings on the valve block. The High Pres-
sure Ports require an O-Ring and Back-
up Ring. The O-Ring goes on first
(against valve block) , then the Back-up
ring (against motor) as shown (See
Figure 1). Install the Square-Cut Ring in
the Low Pressure Drain Port of the
valve block.

When installing the valve block

the retaining bolts to the motor they
must be torqued to 35 ft. lbs. in an
alternating pattern.
