Signet Flow Switch Kit Installation Instruction Sheet

1. Remove plug from outlet end of fl ow switch,

being careful not to loose spring or plunger inside the
fl ow switch body.

2. Install two threaded end caps and 1/4 " PVC nipple

using plumbers tape on nipple threads.

3. Remove inlet nipple assembly from inlet valve and

install it into the fl ow switch port marked "IN".

4. Install

fl ow switch vertically into inlet valve of fl ow cell.

Do not over tighten.

5. Push wires through fl ex conduit.

6. Assemble cable gland.

7. Open the electrical enclosure. Drill a 1/2" (13 mm) hole

into the bottom of the electrical box. Locate hole away
from wires or other electronic components that could
be damaged by the drill. Install cable gland assembly.

8. Loosen DIN rail end stop and slide to the right.

Add gray terminal blocks, slide DIN rail end stop in
place and tighten. Add relay, and relay base to DIN rail.
Loosen screws on gray terminal block and install the
wires from the fl ow switch to the terminal block.
If additional room is needed on the DIN rail, loosen the
DIN rail stops, slide the power supply and terminals
blocks to the left. Tighten the din rail stops.

9. Complete the following wiring:

• Positive 24 volt power supply to relay A1.
• Negative 24 volt power supply to terminal 12.
• Terminal 11 to relay A2.
• Relay normally open terminal 1 to terminal 9.
• Relay normally open terminal 2 to terminal 6.
• Relay common terminal 2 and terminal 4 to

customer supplied power.
