The “automatic” modes which are used in this profile are
Auto and RCas; Ma-
nual mode :
Man. In the O/S mode, the normal algorithm is not carried out, and
any alarm present will be reset.
2. Current
This is the current mode of the component, which can be different from the
target mode, which is based on the operational conditions.
The layout of a function block or
transducer block is checked by the Modus
parameter. The values of the
subindex mode are defined as follows:
1. Target
This is the mode which is requested by the user. The values which are allowed
by the
allowed mode parameter are limited by target. The modes are
determined by the bit sequence in the following manner:
Out of Service (O/S)
The block is not being evaluated. The output is
maintained at last value or, in the case of output
class function blocks, the output may be main-
tained at an assigned
fail-safe value, last value
or configured
fail-safe value.
Manual 1 (Man)
The block
output is directly set by the operator
through an interface device.
Automatic (Auto)
For forming the
output value, the parameter
invert is used.
Remote Cascade
The block
setpoint is being set by a Control
(RCas)
Application running on an interface
device through the remote cascade parameter
RCAS_IN.
