Troubleshooting GPS
If GPS fails to come in it could be for a variety of reasons. The easiest way to isolate
the problem is to open the GPS port in HyperTerminal (see troubleshooting with
HyperTerminal).

Check HyperTerminal port
settings and ensure port is
present in the device
manager (see port settings)
Ensure GPS adaptor is
in place and GPS is
plugged into correct
spot on Auxiliary Case
(see system overview).
Check Veris
Spectrophotometer Software
port settings
Reinstall Edgeport drivers
Power down cases and
restart computer, once
computer is back up turn
power on to cases and
check again
Check GPS quality factor. (see
program modifications under
acq_settings.txt)
Is data
streaming in
HyperTerminal
