Starting the Phone
1.
Tap the Erase button. The extension number for the last user who logged
on to the set is deleted.
2.
Dial your own extension number.
3.
Tap the Log on button. Enter your password, just as if you were logging on
your own extension.
If your signature (that is, your extension number and password) is correct,
the set status is changed to logged.
Now you can use the extension according to the user profile associated with
your signature. You user profile includes the following:
•
The programmed Name keys are identical to those on your own extension.
•
Your personal phone book. You will find all of the content of the My Dialog
Contacts screen with the names and associated numbers, as saved on
your own extension.
•
All of the service settings that are currently either active or inactive for your
extension. In this way, you will find the status of your extension in relation
to the general call acceptance service and standby mode for the various
hunt groups to which your extension belongs. You will also find your
extension settings concerning possible call forwarding and appointment
reminder services.
•
Notification that you have new messages in the voice mailbox associated
with your extension, when applicable.
•
All of the other services assigned to your extension number. You will find
them exactly as you would if you were using your own extension.
•
The physical characteristics of this extension, such as the ring melody, ring
volume, loudspeaker volume, display contrast, etc., remain as previously
established for the set.
•
Your user profile is only fully recoverable depending on the physical aspect
of the third party set; it will only be applicable if you log on to another Dialog
5446 IP Premium extension.
•
When you log on to another extension than yours, this extension will lose its
call list (calls log file). When a user logs on with an extension number other
than the one previously used, the call log file is automatically reinitialized.
This is also true when somebody logs on to your extension.
